School Psychologist/Psych Examiner - Position Opening 2021-22 School Year

    The Union R-XI School District is in search of a School Psychologist or Psychological Examiner for the 2021-2022 year.  The Union R-XI School District is a progressive school district in the heart of Franklin County. As the county seat, Union is home to almost 3,100 PreK-12 students with over 400 employees. The mission of the Union R-XI School District is to provide a diverse education through leading, learning, and serving. Currently, grades 3-12 are 1:1 with Chromebooks and our district is leveraging Google Apps for Education to enhance learning opportunities for our students. The work we are doing in our district has been recognized both across the United States as well as internationally. All of our elementary schools are Leader in Me schools and we have a robust K-12 STEM/PLTW program that provides our students relevant and hands-on learning experiences. Furthermore, our district is currently establishing and building teams of educators to assist with curriculum development to best meet our students’ needs. Additionally, we offer our students a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities to complement our academic programs and we maintain a high level of competitiveness with districts across the state. We have an outstanding staff who consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of each and every student.


    Per Board policy GCBA, a maximum of 21 years of experience (with proper certification) may be transferred from another elementary or secondary accredited system. The highest step a teacher may enter the district at is step 22 of the salary schedule.
