Job Description: The Department of Psychology at Fort Hays State University is seeking applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of School Psychology. This position could be on-campus, hybrid, or virtual, as negotiated with the Department Chair and College Dean at the time of employment. The ideal candidate will be excited to provide instruction for various courses within our department, which offers on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate programs. Given that the majority of our graduate students are in school and clinical psychology, the ideal candidate will also value the importance of applied programs.

The FHSU School Psychology program provides innovative online programming to help address the persistent school psychologist shortages across the country. Our online program in school psychology is innovative for the field. Thus, the Department of Psychology is seeking an assistant professor who is excited and passionate about the future of school psychologist graduate preparation, which may require new approaches that depart from time-honored and traditional methods in the discipline.

FHSU and the Department of Psychology are committed to building an environment that is inclusive and representative of our students and state. Individuals from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
