The Boone County Schools Mental Health Coalition is searching for individuals to fill twelve month Clinical Instructor positions with the Coalition project. The Coalition is a multidisciplinary collaborative project among Boone County MO’s six independent school districts, two private schools, the University of Missouri's College of Education (COE), the Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology, School Counseling (ESCP), the Missouri Prevention Center (MPC) and the School of Social Work (SSW). The project promotes a coordinated, multidisciplinary, collaborative initiative by: (a) implementing a scientifically-based model of prevention and intervention, (b) reducing contextual risk factors and promoting existing protective factors, and (b) providing access for in-risk youth and their families to comprehensive mental health assessment and wrap-around case management services.
Job Duties: Clinical Instructors will:
1. Implement evidence based practices, progress monitoring, screening, and youth evaluations.
2. Support youth case management, crisis intervention, triage, and linkages to other agencies.
3. Provide ongoing consultation to school-based problem solving teams grades K-12.
4. Coordinate and implement data collection, analysis, and monitoring of fidelity to evidence-based practices in school settings.
5. Support school-based clinical practicum placement, training, and supervision of graduate students.
This position will be housed in the Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology (ESCP).
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Masters level, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Social Work, School Counseling or a related field
· Experience working in schools, implementing evidence-based assessment and interventions, and coordinating clinical services for youth
Candidates are evaluated on the following factors:
· Ability to implement and coordinate clinical services in schools
· Ability to communicate across multiple disciplines within the school context
· Communication, organizational, and management skills
· Provide clinical supervision to graduate students
· Ability to provide service to the program, department, college, and the profession
Certification or Licensure in specialization area
